Teachtown needed a full revamp of their online presense. They had an old school functioning website that felt like you were back in the 90s. We wanted to bring the playful colors back to life within the design to really have that feel of what they are, exceptional solutions for exceptional students.
The biggest challenge was trying to figure out the best way to move forward. We wanted to make a huge impact within their audience as well as enhancing and modernizing that apporach to do so. The turnaround was tight, so we decided on a module page approach where sections could be interchanged throughout the site. This way, we were able to design quickly and dev even faster in order to finish on time and below budget.
For the client and our development team to understand the functionality and requirements of the project, a sitemap (or navigation structure of the site) should be developed, as well as wireframes.
You can view the full project on Adobe XD to view the wireframes and sitemap in their entirety.
A styleguide helps to set parameters for headings, colors, typography styles, buttons, and forms so that the next step; actually designing the comps, can be much easier and streamlined.
Now let's put everything together. It is much easier and more fun to design a pixel-perfect and beautiful project once the solution to an issue has been found in the earliest stages of a project.
Over 10 different designs are included in the prototype, including some important designs for mobile devices.
The initial launch and yearly results of a new and improved website that emphasizes modernity and style, as well as mobile-centric functionality, have been great. The client loves the new site looks and functions, and are able to easily update and add in new content much faster than they did with the previous website they had.
